I'm a new Access 2000 user trying to design my first report. It is a simple report of our company's phone extensions. There are only 2 columns - name and extension, so there is plenty of room to list name and extension twice on a single page, but I can't figure out how to make it carry over into a new column instead of onto a new page.

Any help appreciated

242513,

(a) Go into design view of the report, and select the File, Page Setup menu options. This will present a PageSetup form.

(b) From this form, select the Columns tab, and enter 2 for the number of columns. Set your page layout as you would like it; ie. left to right, or top to bottom.

(c) Generally speaking, your page right margin should be set to about half of your physical page width; this way, there will be space for your second column to occupy when the report prints.

(d) In the context of your problems, put your two columns in the left half of the page; then move the page width to be flush against the edge of the 2nd column.

Save the report, and try it out. It should all work,

Good Luck, Cheers,
