Report Export works in dev't...not on production! Help!!

Hi All,

I've created a VB6 app with 3 reports. The reports can export to various formats on the development machine, but when I create a package with the deployment wizard, it is able to preview, but will not export.

I have added all (I think!) of the export destination and format dlls (e.g. u2ddisk.dll for disk destination, u2fxls.dll for Excel format etc.)

Any clues would be greatly appreciated!

is your export...manual or automatic...if it is manual...have you enabled the export button? Jim

Hi Jim,

The export button is enabled on the viewer, and when I click on it I get the option to choose the output format. But, when I select .doc for example, the app closes.

I'm running it on a machine with tons of horsepower and memory, so that shouldn't be a problem...

Two files you must have are Exportmodeller.dll and crtslv.dll. If they aren't registered correctly, via Regsvr32, then try to re-register them.

Next,
More than likely you don't have the appropriate U2***.dll file that goes with the export you are trying to do. They're located in the Crystal directory ie. C:\winnt\Crystal.
