In the office, we have 3 users who receive emails correctly from email@companyX.com. When users send out emails, there email address is the reply to on the receivers end. Is there a way to configure these email accounts to have email@companyX.com be the reply to. I know this can be done with a po3 user account in oultook, can i bet done using exchnage?

Make the email address you wish to appear in the replyto the primary smtp address for the user.

the eamil@companyX.com is a distrubtion list with all of the three users a member of. When I try to add the email@companyX.com in the email adddress in active directory. A prompt appears saying the email address already exist.

So what you are trying to achieve is the following: User@yourdomain.com sends an e-mail from user@yourdomian.com, but you want the reply to go to the distribution list email@yourdomain.com,,,have I got that correct??
I don't think this can be done, other than when sending the mail from the Outlook client, hitting the options tab, and specifying an alternative reply address. I have been trying to implement the same thing, but can't see any other way round it.

Make sure that all the users have "send as" rights to the email@companyX.com account. When they reply with Outlook have them click OPTIONS button (NOT a menu option, it's next to the format drop down for HTML, Plain Text, Rich Text) and select "FROM" field. It'll give them a FROM field on their email editor. Have them enter the Alias that owns the email@companyX.com account as the FROM. Then, they can send to wherever as that account and it'll send that as the "Reply To:" address.
