REPLICATION OVER DIAL-UP CONNECTION

I AM USING MERGE REPLICATION IN MY 2 SQL 2000 SERVER UNDER WINDOWS 2000 SERVER. THE REPLICATION IS WORKING PROPERLY IN A LOCAL AREA NETWORK ENVIRONMENT.

I TRIED THE REPLICATION OVER DIAL-UP CONNECTION BY INSTALLING REMOTE ACCESS SERVER, USING TCP/IP I COULD ABLE TO PING THE SERVER IN THE OTHER SIDE AND VICE VERSA.

MY PROBLEM IS REPLICATION DID NOT WORK, ITS GIVING ME THIS ERROR MESSAGE "THE PROCESS COULD NOT CONNECT TO SUBSCRIBER 'SQLSVR2K'"

PLS HELP ...
