Have a situation whereby I need to replicate the config of a Release 23 Opt 61 in a Opt 61 that is release 25.40. Can anyone tell me if this is feasible an perhaps summarize the steps required to achieve this.

Many thanks in advance

the way i usually approach is back up the switch and load it.. if you have cards in the same place, your done

Thanks John, I was hoping that was the case, however I've had my doubts about different site IDs given that if you do an XBAK on an 11C and then try to load that config into another sytem, it barfs saying there's a site ID mismatch with the one in the Backup file. Does this mean there's not Site ID stamped on the 61C backup or is it ignored in this process.

there's a command in 143 that allows you to move the softare to a new switch. the site id is not required to restore after a new install.. since the new switch is not in service, i would boot off of the install, go thru the menus and restore the data base from the old switch. might consider, just moving the cpu's and cmdu's.. i had a customer that wanted an 81c moved, he bought a new one, we did the install and moved the software to an all new switch.
