I've got a server running AD, Exchange, and DNS. Its old and slow so I'm going to buy a new one. I'm not worried about DNS and Exchange, but I'm not sure how go about upgrading AD so I retain all user info.

Can anyone point me to some docs or sites that would help with this? I've been searching for a while but can't turn up anything useful.

thanks

If you have new hardware to install, it is fairly easy to move Active Directory.

Put the new server online and promote it to a Domain Controller.
Follow this article to transfer the FSMO roles over to the new server:
If you have no issues installing DNS and Exchange, you should be all set. When you are done migrating these services, demote the old server.
