I have a report that uses a query that I developed in Crystal Designer going against a Oracle database. I would like to make a similar report and and change it to a different query.

I have copied the query and report to another name and wrote a different query for the new report, but I cannot find where I can go in the report and change the name of the query. All the places I have looked, I can see the old query's name but cannot replace it.

The only thing I could do was start over with a new report and when it asked database, sql query, find my new query and add it in. Then I have to go in and design the report all over again. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help in advance!!

RonCayenne,
I am not sure as to the answer, but I can tell you that you will get a better/more accurate response if you include the version of Crystal you are using.

Also, does the new query also go against the same Oracle connection? Use the same tables but a different set of fields? Use all the same tables and fields, but different filtering/unioning/joining?

I'm sure that this info will get you a quicker and better response.

Thadeus,
I'm using Crystal 8.5. The new query is accessing the same Oracle d/b connection and I am using the same tables but a few additional fields in these tables. The same filtering is being used, only the field selection is a little different. Essentialy, I am adding more fields to the like report for a new report.
