We have 2 Windows 2000 Domain Controllers. Exchange is installed on Global Catalog Server. The C: drive on Server running Exchange 2000 is almost full. I would like to replace 4 x 18 GB Hard Drives with 4 x 36 or 72 GB Hard Drives. What is the best scenario to do this ? I bought a software called V2i Protector (symantech) that can create images of all volumes.

Has anyone tried this software ?

I would like to install OS on the New drives and restore all the data back with least amount of time with all the original applications settings. Only difference is that the new C: partition will be bigger this time.

It usually takes 6 Hrs. to restore from tape.

Any other ideas ?

Bring in another server. Replicate everything to it. Demote the old server. Fdisk your original server and replicate everything back.

Has anyone used Symantech's V2i Protector for Backup ?

I planning on using this software to backup all partitions and restore them back after adding the new hard drives on this server.

Is this software reliable ?

Thanks for the help!
