Hi There,

A customer has a current IP Office on version 9.0 with preferred edition.

We are going to be replacing the entire control unit and sd card when they move office. The new system will have IP handsets and the existing are digital.

The new system which is 9.1 is currently on a test bed in their office on their existing network which their existing IP Office 9.0 is also on.

When we try and access any voicemail it says ‘voicemail unobtainable.’ The new system is on 9.1 we had this connected on their network to the vm server which is on 9.0 so I am guessing this is the error unless you can think of anything else that would cause voicemail to be unobtainable? Or maybe voicemail pro does not like the fact their is already an IP Office on the network which is connected to the vm pro server?

Please advise. I am hoping on their move day when we upgrade the existing vm pro server to vm pro 9.1 it will not come up with this error.

TIA,

You can't connect 2 IPOs directly to the same VM Pro and you'll need to upgrade it so it matches the IPO version.

If you had just one IPO on the network then the 9.1 to 9.0 wouldn't be an issue, but as Janni said two IPOs on the same network configured for the same VM Pro is just going to cause issues.
