Hi there,

I have a column where there are single letters = "m", "w" and "d". The column also includes other words that contain these letters.

Is there a way to change the cells where only "m", "w" and "d" appear and replace them to monthly, weekly and daily without affecting the other words that contain these specific letters? Thanks in advance,

Kastaman

Yes, tick the Find Entire Cells Only check box when performing the Replace, and only the cells that have the required letter will be changed.

Hope that helps.
Glenn.

Kastaman,

In a separate column, use the following formula, copying it down for each of the rows.

=IF(A2="w","Weekly",IF(A2="m","Monthly",IF(A2="d","Daily",IF(A2="","",A2))))

Then convert the column to values, and copy the values back to the location of your data.

Hope this helps. Please advise as to how you make out. :)

Thanks to GlennUK and DaleWatson123321!!

Both of your suggestions will be utilized. But for the moment, the "find entire cells only" will suffice.
Thanks in advance,

Kastaman
