replace colour

I am a Freehand user but have a job in illustrator CS and would like to take some magenta out of a certain pantone colour and replace all text and images with this. In Freehand you can just take magenta out in a tint box and hover it over the pantone colour used then drop to replace. Is this possible in AI CS?

Double click the Pantone in the swatch window, reduce the magenta in subsequent windoe and check the Global box to replace all instances of the color. I assume you'll also want to make it process since it will no longer match the pantone spot.

It might be handy to rename it so there's no confusion about what the color is supposed to be.
