Trying to come up with a solution to replacing the M2250 console with an M3904 phone. I know that I can build an ACD que with 0 as the number but here the deal. They want to be able to put a call on hold while they answer another call. Pretty sure ACD won't allow that. So basically want several appearances of a number. Anyone seen or done something like this. They also want unanswered calls to go to a RAN if no answer with a couple of rings and then present the call to the new phone. Thanks for any help on this.

With the console gone or out of service, the system will be in night mode all the time at that point. You could set a nite dn as a MCR key on the 3904 or hunt - ooo , with a LHK of the last hey programmed on the set.

Ok, but how can I send a call that is unanswered after a couple of rings to a RAN recording saying " Operator is currently assisting other calls ...blah, blah" and somehow get sent back to MCR key. I do not see a way to make that happen.

Sorry my bad, the ran part didn't sink into my head. Do you use CCM that you could build a script to do what you want. I can see fna to a acd queue, play a ran message, but getting the call back is the problem. I will bounce my head against the wall for a awhile to see if something shakes loose. LOL

Not an elegant solution, but may help:

1: Create the ACD as first thought with the RANs etc.

2: On the 3904, create a number of SCNs that appear on the ACD set eg: keys 3 4 and 5. You may consider putting these into their own hunt group for ease of transfer.

3: The ugly bit.... if the agent needs to hold calls, they transfer to one of the newly created SCNs. You can hold the call/s there.

4: You may need to extend the held call recall timer depending on the wait times.

Beware, ACD 3904s and add on modules do not play well together. You do have keys 6 - 11 to use though.

As said, not elegant, but may work.
