Does anyone know how to rename IIS STMP Virtual Server? I am trying to rename it so when emails are sent, it will show that email source is for example "mymailserver.domain.com"?

Please help. Any suggestions or information would be appreciated .

I thought Masquerade domains are only for incoming email. Is this correct? How does Masquerade domains work?

The masqerade domain is used as a replacement DNS name. This is mainly used if the mail servers primary DNS name is on a local network (say company.local for Active Directory) and is used for mail locally.

I thought the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) is used by the SMTP server (that you are trying to connect to / send email to) to verify your identity by doing a reverse DNS check. Is this true?

I have to use periods in my Masquerade Domain Name and FQDN but it give me an error.
