Ok. I have a primary Domain Controller with ADS and DNS installed. Problem is that I ignorantly called the DNS name our actually Web site name which is resolved with a different IP address than the actuall Server that I am trying to add as a secondary DC. I should've made up the DNS name for ADS purposes. How can I change the DNS name?

Run DCPROMO and remove AD and DNS...then re-install everything. I don't think there is anyway to accomplish re-name.

Why don't you try to rename the web site internally? or some kind of alias for the website in DNS?

I don't think I see the whole picture here.. Joseph L. Poandl
