I have a lab network of 1dc running win2k server and 2 work stations all win2k professional which Iam using to prepare for the msce exams-70-217
I defined the rename of Admin account in the default domain group policy but did not rename the account in the active directory users and computers and later, I could not access the active directory neither could I log on as the Administrator which is the only user on the network.
How do I come out of this problem.
Unfortunately I do not have any backup.

When you use the rename admin account, you are renaming the ADMIN account on the LOCAL workstation. You cannot use Group Policy to rename domain login accounts.
