I inherited a system in which certain customers receive emails of their voicemails. I need to remove this functionality for one of them. I have no idea how to do this or what software is installed on my Audix system which allows them to in the first place. It may be related to Message Manager, but that may only be the client. Any help would be greatly appreciated

You can remove Message Manager from the clients computer to stop them from pulling Voicemails from the Audix. You can also go into Audix and change the COS of the subscriber. Do a 'list sub' in Audix. You should see the users with Message Manager with a custom or seperate COS. Change the above user to a COS of a regular subscriber.

In the future everything will work...

you will also probably need to go into the e-mail client on that person's pc and remove the service that was setup to go and poll the audix for messages.

thanks, tim

If the person has Outlook, you would go to their Outlook client and select Tools --> Email Accounts --> Click to "View or Change Existing Email Accounts" --> And then find the one labeled Voicemail, Intuity, or something of the sort. (The "type" should be labeled with "POP") Remove that account. That is what is pulling from the Intuity.

I looked at the COS on the audix box, but it wasn't anything special. I changed it to one of our other standard ones, but it didn't make any difference. I haven't tried to have Message Manager removed from the PC yet. I think that's what gathers the voicemails. We use Lotus Notes for our email (ugh!) But thanks for all the info so far.

If the COS is nothing special, just do a change subscriber X and set "IMAPI Message Transfer?" field to 'n' or Remove message manager and you should be good to go. If you dont want to remove the app, just change the password to the mailboxe...

I use Outlook to pull my vmails and faxes. Much cleaner and easier to manage.

In the future everything will work...

I think changing the IMAPI did the trick, thanks for all the help with this. I'm also going to get Message Manager uninstalled at some point, when I can get to the customer. I really appreciate your assistance.
