I have a g350 registered to my 8730's w/o an s8300.. I want to remove that media gateway out of cm. I removed all stations associated and I keep getting an error saying must remove translations on all modules before removing mg. I have no idea where else there would be translations

Trunk groups?

You can have it all. You just can't have it all at once.

list config media-gateway" and look at ports on all the related circuit-packs. The ports all have to be "u" for unassigned. If they are "p" or "t" (psa / tti) turn off tti and all the "p" and "t" will change to "u"

also check "list mark" and if you have marked ports, use the "clear port xxxxxx" command to remove them from the marked ports list.

change the media-gateway xx and blank out the boards.
remove the media-gateway xx

I had no translations whatsoever aside from stations, which I removed. I basically did a reset syst 4 and then was able to do it.. the thing must have been in a weird state.
