Does anyone know how to remove components from the list under Project>Components? I had to remove some old components and now I have blank spaces where the components that I removed were. I went into the registry to remove the components but it didn't fully remove them for some reason. Anyone have any ideas as to what I can do?

Did you unregister them? You can use regsvr32 /u <component name> to that

Tom, thanks for the reply. I did not unregister them originally. I tried it now, but as I was expecting, it didn't work. The location given in the Components window in VB is blank along with the name of the component. I'm guessing there is something in the registry that needs to be edited.

Another problem on a different machine we have is that there are 2 entries in the Components list with the same exact name and point to the same exact location. Only one of the entries works though, and there is only 1 .ocx file in the System32 folder. I tried unregistering an ocx file on that machine and it removed one of the entries from the Components window, but the remaining Component entry couldn'f find the ocx since there was only 1 in System32.

I'm guessing that uninstalling VB6 and reinstalling will solve this problem but at this point that is a last resort.

Never mind guys, I found a fix to my problem. I downloaded ActiveX Manager and that allowed me to remove any ActiveX Controls that were unregistered or had invalid links.
