The company wants to get rid of Auth codes all together. I have an Option 81C. What steps would you suggest taking first?

It depends on how they were implemented.....there is more than one way to implement auth codes. Are they "set specific", "user specific"? To start off with, you will need to determine what NCOS level you want to make all of your phones at and make that change. If AUTR is turned on in the CLS of sets, you will want to take that off.

in ld 86 prt all your rlb's look at the mfrl prompt, that is the min frl that is now prompted for auth codes. before you change that back to 0, change the ncos off all phones below the frl on your rlb's... today if my ncos is 1, the mfrl is 2 and the frl is 3, i dial the number here the tone, entry my auth code which changes my ncos to 3 or above and the call goes through.. if you make the mfrl 0, i dial, my ncos is still 1, i just get a busy... change my ncos to 3 and i can now dial that number.. you'll want to touch every station that now gets auth codes... ld 88 prt aut aub that will let you see the in use codes as well as what they do.. they can change an ncos or ncos or both...

Everyone has there own auth code. So I'm going to have to change the NCOS on every phone?

Thanks for the responses so far.

If you want users not to have access to AUT give CLS AUTD to each phone
The other way is to remove AUT codes in LD 88 OUT AUT
