I have a network printer in the "Printers Folder". If I try to select properties or delete it, I get an "explorer.exe" error, blue screen then back to normal desktop. How do I get rid of this printer???

Thanks

Sounds like there is some other underlying problem causing the error. Does it give anymore info other than "explorer.exe" error?

. Administrative Tools, Event Viewer, please post back the exact error

. Try:
1) Click on Start, Settings Printers.
2) Click the File menu and select Server Properties.
3) Select the Drivers tab.
4) Highlight each instance of the printer driver and click the Remove button.
5) Select the ports tab, highlight the port formerly associated with the printer, click the delete port.

It does say an error log will be created (log file name unknown). I searched *.log which displayed over 155 log files. Opened a few to no avail. Event viewer has nothing pertaining to the printer, removed all drvrs, from drivers tab, will not allow deleting port, "Operation could not be completed". I am logged on as Administrator.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\Connections
Delete the subkeys that reference the printer of concern.

Reboot.
