I have been using a mail merge but found that a section break is always added at the end of the Form Letters. The form that I am merging to is only 2 pages long, but 3 pages are always printed unless I manually remove the page break. Does anyone know how to set up the merge so that the break is not inserted in the first place??

Thanks

AL

Is the section break in the main document BEFORE merging? Delete it.

Are you taking an already merged file apart? Does it have headers and footers that are different?

Not sure why you're getting this section break either...

No. The section break only appears after merging.
There are no headers and footers, and I'm not taking a merged file apart. Thanks anyway. [pipe]

Hi busalesl,

I suspect you will have considerable difficulty in producing the MailMerge without the section break. My understanding is that a section break is inserted to identify the change of addressee.

You can however easily remove it after it has been produced by using Edit Replace, select More>>, then Special and then "Section Break" near the bottom of the list. Try leaving the "Replace with" box empty and see how it goes. If you are not happy with the result select Special for this box and then "Paragraph Mark", and try that.

Good Luck!
