Hi

Is there a way to set a VM PRO mailbox to just beep when routed to via a VM PRO call flow rather than play standard or custom greeting? We have a few sites where their recordings in VM Pro say they are closed and to leave a message but the leave mail action then plays the greeting on the mailbox itself.

If there isn't a way to do it then we'll have to re-record the vm pro greetings and stop short of the "please leave a message bit". It would be good to handle all greetings in VM Pro rather than having to ensure greetings on various mailboxes are correct and match the voice of the entry prompts.

System is V9.0 IP500 V2

Thanks

Use a voice question (without a prompt)and drop the recording into the relevant mailbox :)

amriddle, can that voice question leave it in any group mailbox and so notifications etc would behave as normal?

That's already played before a recording in voice questions I believe :)

the voice question can record for any mailbox, group or user and it is just like a message left the normal way.

I guess amriddle and you posted at the same time.

Why play the "We are closed" message In call the call flow why not simply record it as the mailbox greeting?

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Because it's for the closed message after checking opening hours condition and my understanding is the call will go to their daytime message for the hunt group if using leavemail action??

Just make the Leave VM action point at the Night Service HG. (or even transfer to the Night Service HG if that makes you feel better[smile])

Kind regards

Gunnar

A group can have a different night service greeting if you also time profile that, but voice question is quicker/easier I imagine :)

Just use a condition to route calls based on time of day and use the voice question.
All those hassle with time profiles.
Keep it simple.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

In IP Office mode rather than intuity amriddle? With night service set the voicemail always ends up on the hunt groups normal voicemail regardless of mode or if night service group set..

It will do until you record the "Out of Hours" greeting, as it has no other option. This does work with IP Office mode yes :)

Oh ok, never bothered trying since they changed it to always leaving the voicemail on the original target rather than night service group mailbox.

Thanks

That was back at 4.0 :)

Just tried using voice question instead of leave mail action and it just cuts the call off after the closed message. I thought it might be because there were no files configured so recorded a blank question but still does the same..?!

You need to add a record action in the specific tab for it and set a max record time, you don't just leave the thing blank/default :)

I'd only set question and nor record time you are correct.. long day. thanks.
