remove highlight 1

Hi,

I have inherited a report which has paramters to highlight fields. The users now want these removed. I cannot delete the parameter from the Field Explorer as it says its still in use. How can I find out where so I can delete it?

try to check any formula field if that parameter field was in used in that formula.

nope, no formuals use it. There is no reference to it in the Select Expert either. Ive even reached the point of removing all the fields from the report, still cant delete.

Is there anywhere else I should look?

have you checked the section expert, is the parameter being used to change the color or suppression of sections ?

Are the parameters group items? Or in a sort field? Or are there extra fields sitting beyond the printing area. (Set the view to 75% or 50% to check).

Change the type of the parameter. i.e. if the parameter is a number, change it to string. When you run the report, you will receive an error, which will take you to where the parameter is used and you can delete it.
