Hello,
I would like to find out if I can remove a service running on another client computer across my network? All computers are Windows XP Pro running on a 2003 domain. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tony

if you want to do a lot you can set up the start up type (ie disabled) and permissions via group policy so the user can't start the service.

If you just have a couple you can go into the services mmc, right click on services and click connect to another computer. You can disable services and change the permissions manually from there.

Hello,
The service is already stopped. I want to permanently remove it from the system.

It's not necessary to completely removing a service if it is diabled and the user doesn't have permission to start it, to get rid of it however you can delete the key for the service from . . .
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services
