3300 cluster v5.0.2
5604 (Ascom) ip dect phone.
parimaster IPBS2[ETHDBG-5.1.18], Bootcode[5.0.18], Hardware[IPBS2-D3/1B1]
WSM 3.31-A

After a reboot of MCD, 100+ dect phones dont failback to mcd1.
And because I don't want to visit those phones to do a power cycle...: is there a way to remotely reboot a handset?
(We are planning to upgrade next year)
load ipd <id> doesn't seem to work. I think we have to focus on the parimaster?

the parimaster or wsm gui doesn't seem to have such an option.

thanks.

Can you reboot the master base station and then the standby master if configured which handles the registration? it will then reregister using the first SIP Server set.

technically: absolutely.
that's what I am allowed during a maintenance window, which is a lot of work to get in a 24/7 business.
Because it's a hospital, rebooting the Pari's to force the 1500 phones to reregister took about 10-15 minutes last time.
And that's what I try to prevent here now.

cant you make it the end users problem

send an announcement out and ask them all to power cycle their handsets

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

message each floor, and have them power cycle their handsets - one floor at a time. This might require some coordination with the head nurses, but that's what I've done in the past.

Make the overhead page announcement - Everyone on the 1st Floor and only the 1st floor, please power cycle your handset.

Wait 10 minutes, and repeat this message for the 2nd floor.

Repeat this for each floor.

Then finally announce that if anyone has not restarted their handset, please do so now.

thank you all for the replies,
due to strict change management policy rules, I was not able to 'just do this'.
During the night, it shouldn't be a problem, but still.
I suppose, if there is an emergency with a patient, and the nurse cannot call for the CPR crash cart...?

Okay, so it had to be planned.
It was enough to disable server2 for 10 minutes. Then all dects shifted to server1.
I learned that the new dect phone and base station software sees to it that the phone does it automaticaly.
