Remote recording of greetings for Embedded AA

I have not been able to set up remote recording of greetings for the AA.
I have a DDI pointing to a user with the user forwarded to *8101, but it doesn't connect the call although forward to *17 goes to voicemail collect as expected.
Any help much appreciated.

try using a short code without a * in it. try the short code of 8101 instead.
