So got remote phones working fine, well sort of fine, registered no problem and get dial tone and internal ring tone, but cannot hear anything from the tdm bus.....at all. Can't hear vm prompts, hold music or audio from calls internally, can't hear ring tone out the ISDN lines or voice. But call out on the SIP lines and you hear ringtone and voice both ways. WTF :)

That does sound like a VCM issue!

Maybe not, just remebered it worked when I was in the office no issue, so the VCM works, when it's remote it doesn't...crazy :)

The its the firewall. Its always the firewall :)

Is 801.Q disabled on the phone?
If not then packets could filtered out by the home router

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

How can it be? Remote phones don't do direct media path, it always comes from the system, mind you seen strange things from Avaya, you see the packets go out and the handset receives them, they are just silence :)

Its Friday, they don't want to work anyhow.

Docs say no direct media path and 801.Q disabled on the phone.
So try that :)

You should know Sean, you broke it!!! lol It's 8.0.18 :)

I had it working on the old phone files.
I did not try the current files who are on trial at the moment.

So, when RTP relay is being used it works fine, audio both ways, trace looks normal.

when using lines/TDM bus then this shows in the trace:

203249mS CMMap: PCG::MapBChan pcp[113]b0r1 cp_b 0 other_cp_b 0 type CGTypeSimple
203249mS CMMap: PCGS CPReserveCodec for the other end (pcp[113]b0r1) true
203249mS CMMap: PCG::MapBChan pcp[32]b1r0 cp_b f595176c other_cp_b f595b068 type CGTypeSimple
203249mS CMMap: a=0.18 b=21.42 M1
203249mS CMMap: PlatformConnectionAudioSAP::ConnectVoice (connect) pcp[113]b0r1 echo_cancellation set to 0
203250mS CMMap: PlatformConnectionAudioSAP::ConnectVoice pcp[113]b0r1 Configure 0.18
203250mS CMMap: PlatformConnectionAudioSAP::ConnectVoice pcp[113]b0r1 ConnectIndication 0.18
203250mS CMMap: a=0.18 b=21.42 CheckSpeechPathMonitor (pcp[32]b1r0) register
203250mS PRN: Confer DSP, channel 0: allocated DTMF detector 0, 23 free

And that is what causes the audio issue, the packets go in/out on the same RTP ports and all arrive at the handset but it just plays silence.....well done Avaya, you did it again :)

Andy, I will ask again.
Is 801.Q turned off?

Yes, it is makes no difference, it's hat extra audio process the system does that causes the issue for sure :)

Try to turn off: "High Quality Conferencing", it think there is a bug caussing this.

There is also a bug with the G722 Codec by the way!
