I have been playing/experimenting with a new NW6 install on an IBM x235 in preparation for an across the wire migration to NW5 and then an inplace upgrade to NW6 SP3 in just a couple of days. I had just got DNS and DHCP working all right and was trying to sort out the dynamic DNS issues, when after a server reboot, I can no longer use Remote Manager. At any of the workstations that I have connected to this 8 port hub test net, the IE5.5 browser displays the "The page cannot be displayed" page and "Cannot find server" in the title bar. I am logged in as god (admin). From the XServer GUI, if I run NetWare Remote Manager, it comes up with "Parse Error, the page cannot be displayed". Both PORTAL.NLM and even the latest version of HTTPSTK.NLM are loaded. I can find no information to troubleshoot this any further. It will be a moot point tomorrow when I wipe this configuration out and install NW5.1 but I don't want to have similar issues on the weekend when I am in the middle of a pressure upgrade!

kdeans, on a first note, good upgrade path. It will ensure minimul problems with your certificate server.

One netware 6 you get this great little logger screen that you can press the up arrow to see what has been going on (there is also a key that can be pressed to save the log into a file, but I don't rememeber those keys). Check to see if your httpstk is having issues loading.

How are you trying to access it in the first place? (what port are you going to?) I am pretty sure when you use the server GUI it will use port 8009 which is the secure SSL port for Remote Manager.

You may have an issue with your certificates also. Download PKIDIAG to inspect your certificates. I my self like to use the SSL CertificateIP over the SSL CertificateDNS for the Remote Manager stuff (seems to work better).

Even if the IP address did not change, you may want to check the files mentioned in that TID and verify that the IP address is correct. Plus, there are some that uses Server name instead of IP, so you need to make sure they are all good too.

The server GUI is looking to port 81 and the IE5.5 browser is looking to port 2200. I have checked all the files mentioned in that TID. They are good as far as anything that I can see. I am downloading PKIDIAG1.EXE and will see if it gives me anything to go on. The Logger Screen gives me no clues. The SSL Server Handshake Screen shows some handshake, certificate and alert info but nothing that means anything to me and it does not change as an attempt to hit the Remote Manager is executed. I'll fight with it for a short while yet and then I need to wipe it off and rebuild the RAID array and prepare for a migration. I just don't want to be fighting with a similar issue after the whole migration/upgrade to NW6. I'll be afraid to reboot as that is what started this adventure. I was in the midst of trying to sort out dynamic DNS. Thanks for all the assistance.
