Anyone know if there is some way to setup the ability for someone to use their home phone to dial-in to Call Manager and get a dial-tone from Call Manager to use for making an international call?
You are looking for something called DISA in TDM world - Dial Inward System Access. You could use Unity and through dial - ask the user to log into Unity via DDI and then dial out, to add more security maybe route the call out of Unity and force it to use FAC per user before it goes via the Telco lines so you can keep track who is using it in CCM??- Unity PIN could be a generic PIN for all users but the FAC code could be per user
When setting up FAC will this set it up for all outbound calls made both internally and externally in this way? ie so every call made on that same route at least, will get the tone to input their code?
CallManager 6.X has 'DISA' capabilities. It is called Mobile Voice Access. Essentially the user dials into a DID number, gets an IVR asking for their PIN, then asks them if they want to make a call, they press '1' and enter the number where they want to call. It can be set up to use specific Calling Search Spaces to allow or restrict what the user can call.
