Hi

I have recently discovered Remote Desktop within Windows XP and have been very impressed. However im not sure how you can tranfer files from the remote PC to the host PC. Is this possible?

Basically i want to copy files from my work PC hard drive to my home PC but cant seem to see a way to do it. I have tried to map the drive, "net use" the drive and even just cutting and pasting but it doesnt seem to like any of it.

Any help would be grately appreciated

Cheers

good question, I would like to know the same thing, but want to copy somefiles from my home pc to my work pc. Anyone that could help us out that would be great.

the only other way I thought of was to create a FTP server, however this seems very long winded. im sure it must be possible via remote desktop

When connecting with remote desktop, select the options button, then local resources tab, then put a check next to disk drives under local devices. This will bring the hosts drives to the remote computers. Inside windows explorer you will see the local computer drives listed ie: C on local_computer. Now you can drag and drop items from computer to computer.
