remote desktop unable to connect to 2000 server

I am working on an xp machine that could previously access a win2k server using remote desktop connection now it can't connect and returns either, remote desktop connection could not connect or licencing protocol error. Need a solution or some direction, can any one help.

How did you setup Terminal services on your server?

Remote Admin mode or Application Mode?

This sounds like a problem with a temporary license, try deleting the MSLicensing key from HKLM\Software\Microsoft on the client that cannot connect.

Chopsy I went to HKLM/software/microsoft in the registry but I am not seeing the MSLicensing key.
