Remote Desktop Keyboard F1-F12 keys not working

Anybody came across this or has a solution?

I connect from a Win XP Pro Workstation to a Win 2003 Server using MS Remote Desktop Connection. All works fine, except the function keys F1 to F12. They seem to be all loaded with the character '7' (0x37).

I have searched the MS Knowledge base but found no solution.

Thanks for any tips.
