I am using Remote Desktop Connection and it is requiring me to enter my credentials BEFORE I connect to the server. Can this behavior be changed so that it connects to the remote server and brings up the login screen as all previous versions of RDP behaved?

Just hit OK without entering your username or password when asked for your credentials. This will connect you to the computer and then allow you to log on.

GAHHH I can't believe it was that simple. Thanks! You get a star for my stupidity :D.

When you enter your credentials is there a check box offering to save them for you via the "Options" tab?

There is a "Manage Passwords" section obtained via typing Control Userpasswords2 in the Start Run box. In the resulting window you will get to it via the Advanced tab.

See what you can do via "Manage Passwords"?

Another thing you can look at is this -
