Hi,

I've been using the tool for months and I remember typed wrong passwd more than three times about a couple of weeks ago. Ever since I am getting this error message and it doesn't let me connect to my machine at work: The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively.

In my company, we have to reset the passwd by calling the help desk if one person fails more than three times by typing bad passwd. I don't know if it has anything to do with this company policy or not.

What can I do to start using this again? W/o this tool I am dead and very desperate.

Thanks in advance.
Shine.

Can you not ring your support dept and get them to unlock your account, it sounds like it locks you out after three bad attempts and they have to unlock it.

I forgot to mention that my company doesn't support this tool. The only thing they support is Timbuktu which is terrible. We just use them but in case there is any problem no one is available to help inside.

I think there are seperate layers of securities. I can log in to my office computer using other tools like VNC Vierwer or TB2(the one mentioned above) w/o any problem. This RDC security however accepts my userid/passwd and (I guess) it passes the info along the line to let me log in to the office machine however there is some local setup I may have to clean up or reset because I think it doesn't even try to pass the login info to the other end....

Thanks,
Shine.

OS is Windows XP.
And I meant Remote Desktop Connection by 'tool' on my previous reply. Thanks.

You need to be a member of the admins group or your acount must be specified in the Remote tab on the station to use RDP. Could this of been changed?
