system administrator trying to route calls from definity g3r11 via remote call coverage path to off site system g3r10. call routes to G3r10 okay, but doesn't follow the call coverage to audix system if not answered? call just rings? both systems have the system parameters calls redirected Off-Net Enabled.

simple question, but is the last point in your coverage path the voicemail hunt-group?

yes it is. any suggestions? everything I've read says this should work.

Is the path the call taking going over a DCS trunk group, or is it across the public network?

If it's a DCS trunk group, you really don't have to make it a remote coverage point.

If it's a public switched trunk group, the PBX might be receiving answer supervision.

Also, you'll want to check; change system-parameters coverage-forwarding. On the second page, make sure the Coverage Of Calls Redirected Off-Net Enabled? is set to yes THERE.

It can be yes in the system parameters customer options form, but no in the system-parameters coverage-forwarding form. If that's the case, it won't work.

Do you have a Call Classifier installed as well? This alows the system to tell if the remote end is ringing and how many times. Without it, the system won't know when to go to the next point in coverage.

yes it's DCS
and yes the Coverage of Calls Redirected Off-Net is Enabled
and I'm not sure about the call classifier, where would I look to find out if this is installed. I appreciate all the help. I'm a real novice at this.

Do a list config all command. It should show up as a Call Classifier TN744 board.

yes there is a call classifer TN744 board installed.
The call comes in on ext on the g3r11, if unanswered call routes via remote coverage pa thru tie trunk to ext on the g3r10, this is where the call just rings dosn't route back to audix as defined in the coverage pa.

dufus2506 mentioned before

If it IS a DCS trunk group, you really don't have to make it a remote coverage point."

and I believe that u said that it was dcs. So it doesn't appear that u need remote coverage, just put in the extension, and it u have dcs/udp set up correctly, then the call should ring at the other pbx, then come back to audix.
