Anyone know of a way to not have to use ** when accessing the voicemail from outside the system? The customer came from an IP Office where they could set up a DID to provide direct access to their mailbox.

Someone please either enlighten me on how to get around it or tell me i'm not crazy and ** is the only way..

Thanks.

To listen to you mailbox messages when you are away from the office:
Ring your telephone number, when voicemail answers press 88, you will then be asked to enter your mailbox number & password,if they are entered correctly you will hear several options,
Press the appropriate digit to select the option you want.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

firebird the ** is what the North American set up uses instead of the 88.
rylsfan have you tried assiging a target line to the mailbox at the MESSAGE LINE prombt? That should take you right into the mailbox itself.

hawks, i thought the express messaging line was a way to get direct access to voicemail. once i reach the box, won't i still have to press ** to check the messages?
