If I modify the paths in the Environment Variables (Control Panles > System > Advanced) for the locations of the profile temp files and the windows temp files, is that all that needs to be done to get the files redirected? Or is there something else I have to modify? I'm trying to get the temp files to be stored somewhere other than the C: drive. Is there a way to get the Disk Cleanup utility to kick in automatically with the check boxes you selected previously?
Thanks much.

A "properly" written application will look at the environment variables, and store the temp files in the path indicated by either TEMP or TMP

You could also run a startup batch file that wipes the temp directory clean each boot.

There is no standard for TEMP folder location. You can try changing the Environmental variables but there is no gaurantee that the application will in fact look to those directories. MSI installations will.

You can use the "sageset" and "sagerun" features of cleanmgr to create automatic cleanups with the options you specify.

Thanks for the help and suggestions. I'll try the sageset and sagerun features, and if that doesn't work, I'll resort to a batch file. I'm kind of partial to good ol' batch files anyway.
