I was involved recently with rebuilding a Option 11c V22.16 system after the daughter board had suffered corruption & the problem occurred when I was trying to enter in the keycodes in order for the software to be installed.
I kept getting the validation incorrect message. As expected, I retried entering the ISM parameters as described in the NTP's etc. I also obtained via the Nortel web site the systems details to check that the information was current & correct (Which it was!).
Finally I realised that the answer was in the “extra packages” section. The Option 11c did not require any extra packages, but during the software ISM installation & after the Feature set had been entered, I'd selected the "Add Packages" option. This presented me with a list of the packages that were already pre-installed.
By going through & checking each package, I found that package 51 was missing. The keycodes from Nortel's web site showed package 51 as a standard package & also it listed out another package "511"
Package 511 does not exist at all!. Not ever with the current release of Nortel Call Server V04.50w software!.
I therefore entered package 51 as a extra package & carried on with entering the rest of the ISM parameters as normal. The keycodes were then accepted & the software reloaded.
This problem may well exist on other sites, if ever the software has to be reloaded again & it's worth checking everything, even if it appears to be OK.
