Can anybody help me find Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) data for IPO 8 with a Control Unit, 2x POTS 16 Expansions and 2x Digital station 30 Expansions?

I can't seem to find this on the Avaya site

TIA

Laurence

You don't have any Base or line cards in there, the MTBF figures are pure bullsh1t though so it's not worth the effort IMO :)

You will end up with about 35-45 years on the system and 25-28 on the expansion modules, probably about ten times the actual MTBF :)

Does it also show the MTBF for the engineer maintaining the system?

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Yeah it probably doesn't count technicians shorting the DS ports accidentally on the punch down blocks or customers trying to plug an analog phone in a digital port or surges, lighting strikes, grounding wires hooked up to conduits, cheap UPS's, etc... With that said, I still have a customer running an early release Merlin Legend with some Octel 100 voicemail running OS/2 and it's still running...

Thanks Hairlessupportminkey - that will keep the UK Civil Aviation Authority happy
