Release 25.40b with a Intercom Question

Just wondering if there is a way to stop the phone from Beeping when you intercom it. I'm trying to put a Voice intercom on a phone which i have no problems but just wondering if there is a way for the voice intercom to work without notifing the end user. I remember reading something in the release notes that there is a few new features for either changing the tone on the phone when you are currently on a phone call or turning that buzz off. Just wondering if that would work on my intercom issue. I haven't read that in years but I was a Meridian Tech for 9 years and I have been out of the loop for the past 3 years because I took a IT job instead of doing phones. So I don't really get to deep in the phones here now just because we are only running a option 11c with 25.40b software.

That beep is called a warning tone. I remember a long time ago someone came up with a way to do this, but as I get older it gets harder to remember how to do those non-conforming things. surly some other old timer may have written down how to do it.

Pretty sneaky way of spying on someone.

No way of turning the buzz off according to the docs.

The only thing you can try is WTD in the CLS. This mostly pertains to camp on.

we tried doing that to the bosses phone years ago.. we could not find a way, so we disconnected the spkr on his 2008 courtesy phone... worked, but he was not real sharp
