We have our main Exchange 2000 server set up to allow message relaying from only a few internal IP addresses, and from anyone who successfully authenticates. This is to support users who use mail clients other than Outlook.

This setting also allows anyone to send a message as "from" anyone else, which is normal behaviour. I'd just like to know if there's a setting in Exchange to restrict the "from" address(es) to those of the authenticated user? Probably not, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks.
