Run the unregister utility.
Go into the bin folder and run dbconfig and select reindex.
Do this on Data and Newdata.
Run the register utility.
You may have to go into services and start ctlsvr manually.
I'll explain to you what I do and what I want to do:
Everytime we hire new employee, we create two employee #. Number 100-200 is the real # and 500-600 is for training.
When they punch the order they use 500# and mark for training, in the end of the day he/she punch the real order (after correction) with their 100#.
The day after I delete the transaction with employee #500-600. The transaction look like gone but still there because when I do re-print, I still can see it. I check the database folder an I see it create one set files of adjtimex, also in some original dbf files I still see the order with employee #500.
So, I use DBFviewer to delete manually but I'm affraid if my database crashed.
Do you think by running dbconfig can solve my problem? I never run this utility, is it GUI and I have to choose which one I want to reconfigure?
If all your doing is deleting an employee, the refresh utiliy should cover that. Instead of having two different numbers, just assign a training job code, which can be removed at any time easily.
