I don't understand alot about Registry Scripting and feel that I have not found much on the internet to apply to my situation. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction or provide more information.
In general, all Registry scripts I have come across are about editing the registry and you need to know your starting point to edit...
I would like to write a script that will search the registry for a method and tell me what hive it found a match in. Once I have that hive, I would back up one folder, and then go down another branch to retireve the location of it's associated file.
Does anyone think this is possible? Suggestions? Tips? Places to reference?
