Does anyone knows how can I suppress the error message "Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator"?
We are running an script to do certain changes to the registry and I don't want for those users that do not have access to modify the registry to see this message. Does regedit has any switch to suppress this message? Thanks, Ed.

try regedit /s

I tried that but it's not working. The command looks like this:
regedit /s \\server-name\folder\pack123.reg

but it still displays the error message.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ed.

edmac,

The /s switch is just to suppress a 'Do you want to merge the contents into the registry' message, i.e. to make the merge silent.

What the error is telling you is that you are trying to merge the REG file from an account which has had a policy applied it to prevent access to registry editing.
