for example in local machine-software,
if you expand an entry completely and
theres no values ,is it safe to say this
is un-needed and can be deleted?any other
tips on manually cleaning the reg?i know
about scanreg/restore.some entries i
know have been un-installed,some others
i dont recognize.

i actually use this same reg cleaner, just
browsing thru my reg manually to try and
understand more.this is a nice link,i'm
going to try the power tools,thanks...

If you are not desperate for space and are not sure of your ground.........Leave the registry alone.

power tools looks good,i was using the reg cleaner
and a wipe called Ultra wipe from(red strike)
which i like alot.i say try and learn about
keeping things clean, you can gain speed as well
as space.CleanDisk2002,UltraWipe,RegCleaner,
is a good combo i have found.
