Hi,

Within a Windows 2000 Network, I have some stand-alone machines, logged on as an administrator on the computer i want to change options on others users accounts. For example disable run or find etc. I know what commands to use in the registry to do this but how do I do it to other accounts. I can only find the option to change it to the local user, e.g yourself.

Thanks Simon

Have you looked at local group policy editor (run gpedit.msc)?

yes i have looked at it but it only gives you the option to change settings on the current user, unless theres a way of accessing another users account, which is not on show to start with?

anyone able to help?

Thanks simon

create a gpo on one machine then export it as a file then import it on each machine

Regards

Si.
