Hi,
Firstly this is a great forum, Peoples solutions have already helped me a lot, but I can't find anyone else in this situation.
After The windows loading screen starts, the screen goes blank. This is normal, but what is not normal is the fact it stays blank for 121 seconds. I downloaded and ran bootvis, and firstly ran a boot+driver trace. It rebooted as it normally would, very quick, for the first time ever. So there can't be much help in the trace file there
. After this, out of interest, I performed a standby trace. Before then, the system hadn't been able to go into standby, it kept jumping back out for no apparent reason. It went into standby perfectly. Then I ran just a boot trace, and the problem reoccured again, but at least I had traced it. It is the registry and pagefile that is taking all this time to load, during which there is only regular squirts of about 30% processor activity, but no other activity (HD etc.)
Any help on how to reduce this time?
Thanks
Nick
