we have 2 SQL servers one in OH other in GA. The one in ohio is SQL Server 7.0. The one GA SQL Server 2000 on win2000. We installed SQL Server 2000 in Ohio, and it was running fine. Then we took the 2000 server to GA. We installed client version of 2000 in same GA facility. I also coppied the lmhosts file to C:\windows. I registered the Ohio server (SQL 7.0) on the 2000 client in GA without problem, but when I try to register GA server it gives me the following error.
Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason not associated with a trusted SQL server connection.
How come I can see the Ohio server in GA without any problem but cannot see the GA server which is in the same building? What am I doing wrong?
