Hi,

I have a report that works fine with English (United States) Regional Option in the Control Panel using Windows 2000 workstation. Once I changed the Regional Option to French (Canada), it gives me a date formula error. How to resolve this issue?
Currently my date format is MM/DD/YYYY (custom).

Thanks
manlia

In Crystal 8.5, you can change the field defaults using the Fields tab on [Options] under [File]. But since I've never used regional options, I've no way of knowing if they would reset this.

A slow but safe solution is to define your dates as formula fields. Thus
Totext({your.date}, "MM/dd/yyyy")

Lots of other nice options with Totext, including day-names (ddd or dddd) and month-names (MMM or MMMM).

Manlia,

If you have access to the user's system and are able to set up your custom date format in Control Panel, you could simply set the date format (within Crystal) to 'System Default Short Format'.
