Recently installed Sun OS 5.9. The machine is acting as dns cum mailserver and we r running pine for checking the mails .There r 5 users using this services.DNS is also up and working fine but we have problem in receiving mail...
Mail is coming to out id's with tooo much delay. Like from yahoo and other network it is coming after 30 to 40 min of delay and in our netwrok also it is taking 10 to 15 mn of delay....
The messege observe in the /etc/syslog file are :-
1)alias database /etc/mail/aliases.db out of date
2)delay=00:10:05, xdelay=00:00:01, mailer=local, pri
=30319, relay=local, dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent
The other thing is mail used to come to our server and from server to us it is taking some amount of delay to reach us....
That is within our network one user to other user also it is taking too much delay to receive the mail..
Please suggest how to get rid of this ...
